CPU Utilization
The amount of CPU resources a system is using. This can be expressed in a number of ways:
- Percentage of all processors (CPUs) used (usually per second)
- Dimensionless (seconds per second), relative amount of processing power for a given time interval
Average CPU Utilization
The average CPU consumption over a longer period of time. This is almost always lower than the peak utilization.
